Color New to Acupuncture! Ways to improve chi flow?

I'm new to acupuncture. I've had about 5 sessions for my chronic illness. I definitely feel like something is happening when I get it done. I've noticed I get some intense aches when she puts the needle in - I know it has to do with the movement of Chi. Are there any other things I can do to supplement the acupuncture and get the chi moving around in my daily life?

Most QUALIFIED Acupuncturists can offer advice on life-style, including exercise and diet [ Chinese methods ] . Chinese Medicine is holistic.

tai chi is kind of a moving form of acupuncture. the old yang cheng fu form, for instance, sends chi through your meridians, in their specific order, 3 times in one practise of the form. in any 24 hours energy flows through each meridian once, for two hourse a piece...so this gives you an extra 3 times and is very beneficial. organic diet is first base to any health approach, first base! also buy yourself a decent electro-acupuncture device...better and alot cheaper ime.

I've had acupuncture off and on for the last few yrs. My integrative rheumatologist does this work, she had to raise prices this year so I had to shop for a new clinic to go to.

Found one here in West Los Angeles and get work done for $30, electro stim on the needles is $10 more.

This last session has been 10 sessions for my knee and foot/ankle, it helps some but now I'm feeling I'm not getting enough to continue...I originally thought I'd do 15 on this OA knee but am now thinking, am I wasting my money....

Anyway, that's my experience with acupuncture...it can work very good for a lot of folks, a couple times per week would be best as I've been told....I'm doing once per week now for the knee/foot.

Practicing qigong could improve qi flow in your meridians, find a good teacher who teaches medical qigong. Spring Forest Qigong is very good.
