another 'telepathy or am i crazy?' thread

I've been browsing older threads about this topic, and some of you seem to be pretty good about discerning between psychic happenings and symptoms of mental illness. Lately, I've been strugglig with this question about something that I've experienced for most of my life, off and on, and was wondering if it seems more like telepathy or something else:

Basically, I've had a habit of having imaginary conversations with (real) people for most of my life. These I know are imaginary, and are just a good way for me to think through things. However, sometimes after intensely thinking about someone and having an intense "imaginary" conversation with them, I'll get this weird feeling like I can sense their actual presence kind of in my mind. Like I can feel their mind in my mind. And sometimes I'll see a clear and close up image of either their eyes or mouth (for some reason). I wonder if I was thinking about them so intensely that I accidentally opened up some kind of telepathic channel? This doesn't happen with everyone, either. Just certain people.

I've looked and looked online, but haven't found anything on it in either spiritual or mental health websites. I look forward to hearing the perspectives of those who are more experienced with what real telepathy feels like. I won't be offended by any suggestions that this may all be due to delusional thinking or something. I'm kind of leaning in the direction of that being the case at the moment, anyway. That would actually be somewhat of a relief, because then I wouldn't have to worry about controlling this "ability" or what it might be doing to the other person - I usually end up thinking "sorry, it was an accident!" over and over a few times - LOL.

Hello Leafy,

There is no useful information about telepathy on mental health web sites and from most spiritual teachers, as I see these things. However if you are involved with psychic and telepathic people, these experiences are more easily explained.

Whenever we think about any person, we establish a telepathic connection with them. It is true that their mind seems to be within your mind. It is in fact, based on my evaluations, their energetic DNA field of energy being entangled with your field.

Telepathy when defined as a shared experience is not necessarily an intellect to intellect imaginary conversation. It could be if both parties are conscious of their shared experience. How aware any of us are about these experiences varies greatly. I say this based on several years of personal research. I feel as if I am just beginning to appreciate the finer aspects of telepathy. I have scheduled telepathy sessions with several people each week were we share our respective impressions with each other.

The greater the soul bond with another, the stronger our shared experience will be. I spoke earlier about our DNA as a field of unified awareness. Beyond that physical strand there are energetic multidimensional layers. The conscious personality physical strands are operating with our right side intuitive brain and our left side intellectual brain. These need to be balanced to work well with each other and for the most part they are not. The shared experience takes place in the body. Some would see this as our subconscious awareness. I see it as more than that. There are layers of awareness centers we can define as our multidimensional self.

Thanks for your response and insight, that's a new perspective on thought and interconnectedness for me.
It often seems to happen the most with people who just seem like they might be pretty intuitive to me, due to subtle clues that make me wonder or the general 'vibe' I get from them. But I don't know for sure, either.
For now, I hope that the other person isn't aware of it when I do that, as I'm not sure that I'm ready for that just yet. It's pretty cool that you have scheduled telepathy sessions, though!

Excellent advice given above. I just want to add that there is no right way to experience telepathic moments. Telepathy can be established with anyone dead or alive by thinking of them.
