RAw Food Diet

Anyone ever try it? What do you think of it?

I've been trying to put together a diet plan of it (not including raw meat) to test it out.

you are so disciplined, I am not sure I could do that . I am supposed to be deleting a few food / drink items from my menu and this is not the easiest to do .

so you basically eat the raw fruits and veggies ? any cooked veggies or this defeats the purpose of eating raw foods ?

can you give me a menu for the day ? random day

They say you can steam your veggies and as long as they are not heated to 180 degrees it's supposedly alright...

a typical day...

i don't normally eat breakfast, and have not eaten it for years. when i eat lunch varies, depending on how busy i am throughout the day.

lunch is a salad.. lettuce, cucumbers, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and sometimes carrots. and it's not a huge bowl of salad either.. it's a normal size.

i may eat some nuts with the salad.. i then usually get a banana.

dinner is usually fresh squeezed juice combination... different fruits juiced into a 20 oz drink or so.

then from there i snack on fruits, watermelon, honeydew, grapes. and eat nuts if i didn't have any for lunch. i eat a good amount of nuts in a day. i also eat about 3 or so bananas a day.

Did you experience any weight loss from it, innerlight? Increased health and wellness?

all of it sounds like a good meal idea ! I don't suppose you could take the easy way and drink bottled juices on occasion ?

do you ever put fruits on your salad ? like strawberries, blueberries, pineapple chunks ?

I have heard some people don't like the idea of combining fruits and vegetables in one dish, or even in one meal ... what is the difference, whether you eat them together in one meal or eat them in seperate meals ... they all meet up in the stomach

Did I experience any weight loss?? I lost about 50 lbs from it. I am able to goto sleep at reasonable times now. Usually within 30 mins or so. When it used to be an hour or two before I would fall asleep. I also do not need naps throughout the day like I used to. My memory has improved. Where things would just fall out of my mind are now able to stay longer, and I can retain things longer. My breathing is also better. I used to have heartburn all the time, and I have not had heartburn since the diet. No matter if i eat citrus fruist such as oranges, and even if i eat them late at night. I used to also have headaches all the time where i needed otc for it, and now it is very rare for me to get them.

There is a theory, but I am not completely familiar with it. Just what my dad has told me. That fruits and veggies can not be eat together. They create too much acid or something like that. They aggitate the stomach when eaten together.

I prefer fresh sqeezed fruit.. Bottled drinks can not compete with pure stuff, and you don't know what you are adding to your body with bottled stuff. Other than pure fruit juice I only drink water. On occassion I have a glass of decaf tea.
