Neurologists Who Acctept NDE's as Genuine?

Hello everyone. I am new to this forum. It looks quite peaceful and interesting.

I have read a lot of books on the NDE, the most recent by Chris Cater "Science and the Near-Death Experience." But what I'm looking for are books written by scientists who study the brain, and yet believe in a genuine separation of Mind from Body.

I've read "Proof of Heaven," but I'm looking for something deeper, perhaps material by neurologists instead of a neurosurgeon.

Any suggestions?

You are better off looking into Scientists' researches about Universal/Collective Consciousness.

One good example is Johnjoe McFadden's paper of Synchronous Firing and Its Influence on the Brain’s Electromagnetic Field which delves into Evidence for an Electromagnetic Field Theory of Consciousness found at http://www.surrey.ac.uk/qe/pdfs/cemi_theory_paper.pdf

Neotic Science is also worth having a look into, see
http://noetic.org/blog/is-there-evid...consciousness/

In matters of Neurology and brain studies from the latest news, it is still found that
"The fact is we are never going to experimentally map the human brain and people who think otherwise are deluding themselves" - by Henry Markram/Experimental Neuroscience Studies/Human Brain Project

Excuse my previous response, this section is about NDE's afterall.
Knowing how most neurologists view consciousness after death (thus, the first example of paper above)
I was just more interested in what the scientific researches and experiments do nowadays about the wonders of the mind/consciousness
which also includes NDE.

After looking back into this thread,
I've actually gone off & found that
The University of Virginia School of Medicine has published numerous studies by medical doctors on NDEs which argue that consciousness survives death of the brain.
I also found the International Association for Near Death Studies website http://iands.org/research/important-...rituality.html

In books, Dr. Peter Fenwick's The Truth in the Light: An Investigation of Over 300 Near-Death Experiences is pretty fascinating - worth having in a personal shelf.
"The NDE is a subjective experience. It includes sensations from an external world, and an internal world of thoughts, emotions, feelings of absolute truth, absolute knowledge, and of pure love"
- by Dr. Peter Fenwick

Thank you Desert Rat. I've read Moody's works, but not Mr. Parnia's. I'll check him out. :)

Darn, I don't think she touches on NDE...however, ya want a book on the brain
And how it works?

"Who Switched Off My Brain" Dr. Caroline Leaf
Researcher for 25 years.

Oh, well, Dr. Eben Alexander's book a neuro surgeon that had an NDE...have it here
somewhere, sorry, misplaced it.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
