My dream came true

I joined a group earlier in the year for people who suffer PTSD. Although right now in my life I don't want to talk about my problems and past i thought it a good idea to just maybe get out the house and meet people who I might have something in common with. Anyway, I really enjoyed the company of the guy (Dave) who runs the group, we managed to have a laugh about stuff over a beer

I had dream last week and in the dream a rang Dave on the phone and his friend who was an estate agent answered. I asked for Dave and he said Dave was busy. His friend put the phone down and said to Dave "what are you interested in that f###ing idiot for". Dave was there and I knew he was embarrassed.

I went to a meet last night and that's kinda what happened. Dave was there and I attempted to say Hi but he had very little time for me. I was talking to his friend and noticed that he wasn't really interested. Doesn't matter though, I'm not interested in the group anymore anyway. It was the dream though.

I’m sorry the group didn’t end up working out for you.

I recommend you keep a record of all of your dreams if possible, but especially ones that are especially vivid or seem meaningful at the time. I do this and always leave enough space to go back and write down when and what circumstances happened when they proved precognitive. It has helped me to see patterns and has improved my dream recall.

Support groups for people with PTSD are extremely important, and I hope that you will find one that works for you. I can understand your feelings being hurt by that encounter, but I do hope this experience won’t deter you from another try.

Hi, the dream was very accurate to what I experienced. The friend in the dream was a new guy in the group. He has taken over as organizer and it seems is turning it into a therapy group. Originally it was just a social group chat thing over a coffee. I don't mind talking a little about my past but I don't want to go to deep, it's far to painful after what's happened recently. The new guy kinda ignored me at one point. It's okay, it doesn't matter, I felt the group was becoming unhealthy for me anyway.

I only joined because I've lost interest in the people I use to socialise with, and I'm worried about shutting everyone out and becoming a recluse. But I believe everything is going to be okay in the end

Thanks
