A World without Humans

I've just read Alan Weisman's World without Us. What would happen in the world if all humans suddenly disappeared.
Generally, everything man has ever done has been negative, and the few positive things have revolved round putting right the things we've already messed up.
Maybe it would be a good idea for all people to vanish.
But then, if you believe that everything happens for the best, maybe the world is actually better this way, if we weren't here, things would be a whole lot worse.
Thoughts?

Everything man has done has not been negative.
We are life, it's like asking what would the world be without life.
Human nature is evolving, opening up. Things are much better than they were in the past and at the depth of the human condition is kindness and love and sacrifice. Look at the firemen who rushed into the collapsing towers to save strangers. Look at a mothers love.
The fact is we are capable of the worst and the best but we are the evolution of consciousness and like childbirth it is painful coming to fruition.

Since we never die spiritually and will continue to reincarnate I dont see earth without humans. For topic sake. The world would repair and heal quicker. IMO.

Nature would restore herself and the remnants of human civilisation would be swallowed by her. Until the next species evolves into intelligent life forms....

I could say 'we' wouldn't be missed, but...when 'we' want to be, 'we' can be magnificent...

There is a beautiful light within, which when we let it shine, can transform ourselves and everything around us.

Believe in the wonder of the human spirit.

If man did not exist... Well surely another observer would take place...?

(I have the "if a treelog falls in the forest and nobody is around to hear it" thought in mind...)

And if so then it all depends on what else every other creature decides to do I guess...

The rule of good housekeeping- a place for everything and everything in its place. We do seem to have strayed from our place a little.
Or is is necessary to have a dominant species?
