How to avoid becoming an earthbound spirit?

I'm sure many people who read this, myself included wonder how to avoid becoming an earthbound spirit after dying?

I assume there must be closure on things in a person's life. However, what if closure is simply not possible?

Become psychologically healthy. Learn to let go of attachments. Practice forgiveness. Be accepting of all people. Embody love.

Basically, just be a decent person.

Closure IS possible thru forgiveness inside you.
It gets rid of anger or hate, feelings of vengeance...
then you would not be linked so deeply to earth or them.

Does this have to do with you not being able to forgive?
If so, I had that with my father for decades..I couldn't forgive him.
Tried, wanted to forgive...now I understand more, whew.

If you say it is not possible...are you saying there is no closure bec
the other person won't allow communication?
Hmm, or did you do something you think is just so terrible?

Closure, forgiveness, and all that stuff, is always possible. The only way it's not, is when a person tells themselves it's not.

Letting go of this life, and everything involved with it, will help with not being a stuck spirit.

Others that are "stuck" are in fear of being judged.. When they let go of that, and forgive themselves for their life, and what they may have done or not done, they can more away from the world.

The rest, stick around because of not wanting to be away from people in their life.

I've started to watch Ghost Whisperer on Hulu. Its a pretty good show. It was just natural for me to wonder how people can avoid becoming earthbound in the first place.

I personally have come to a place of forgiveness , so for me holding grudges won't be an issue.

Someone said just go into the light. I wonder how accurate Ghost Whisperer is when the ghosts in the show don't see the light.....not until they are finally at peace. I guess I can believe that part.

I think a lot deponds on ones belief system and the events of death . If one lives a long life and is perty much reddy for a after life than there will be no problems . Lets say a young mom is killed in a car wreck , she might want to hang around and see her kids grew up . If one is murdered and the murder goes un punished , one might want to see the murder get punshment .

From my findings in Spirit Rescue, most Earth bound spirits exist in a permanent dream like now time. They can be of the, when your dead your dead persuasion. Or of a religious conviction that dictates that their not worthy of a place on the higher side and must stay in limbo. This is imposed on them by themselves not by their religion. Another example is when a person is so tied up in trauma on passing they are stuck in a self-imposed constant of the issues that were so important at the time.
So my advice would be “be prepared”. If you’re stopping in a strange hotel you’d always check out the escape route and have it to mind in case of fire. So in case of death of your body do the same thing. If you find yourself in a strange on-going dream then think to yourself “Stop!” Then imagine yourself being lifted up to the light by a loving hand. If you’re not dead but dreaming its not a problem you will just awake. Always remember its always yourself that holds you back. You would be in an place where thought rules, ask for enlightenment and look up for the light and it will be there.
I hope this will be long-long in the future.

What's so wrong with being a earthbound spirit? I think it'd be a great experience, especially if it's true that uniting with the one means you lose all that you are. I'd be a good earthbound spirit though not none of those ghoulish ones.
