My condolences. It's never easy losing our beloved pet. I remember burying one of our cats in our yard next to our other beloved cats. We were shocked to have dug up one of our beloved kitty's bones. I think it was part of her spine. I remember feeling awful and sad. But my daughter who was 18 months at the time kept pointing to the names of our 2 deceased cats. She said that they were running around and playing in the yard and also on our arbor. Their spirits are healthy and free and so's Lily's.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved pet...

As for the other matter. You weren't to know. The physical body is just a vehicle for the spirit. The spirit within is the real you.
After 'death' the physical body is discarded for it has served its purpose. The spirit finds a new home and life in the spirit world.
The mystery pet and your pet, as all beloved pets are in the spirit world awaiting reunion with the 'owners' who they loved and who loved them. So it isn't really an issue, don't trouble yourself about it.

I can't add much to the above post by KOA. Rest assured that, except in cases of extreme trauma (very rare), animals pass over to the astral just as easily as humans. I offer you my condolences, but be comforted that Lilly is now safe and happy there. The same applies for the animal whose body you uncovered.

Your separation is painful, of course, but it only temporary. You will meet again, for a joyous reunion!

Warmest best wishes to you!
