Relogging in after making long posts
Has anyone noticed, that after spending a certain amount of time typing up a post, you eventually have to relogin just to post it?
And if you don't have auto fill enabled, the post won't go through?
What's up with that, can someone please explain? Is it some kind of "idle" issue?

Yes, it is a idle thing. If you idle for too long, the board will log you out. When you login you need to check the check mark box, "remember me" to help cut down on you being logged out during browsing.
If posting a long reply, remember to copy and paste it, just in case, so you don't lose everything you type. You never know when those pesky little gremlins will hit.

It does happen to me too. I once was typing a reply and the phone rang, and 10 minutes later I had to log in again, and the reply was lost. Although that doesn't always happen. Many times a reply which has timed out will still post even though you have to log in again. It seems to happen both ways to me.
The best thing to do (I find) if a reply is going to take some time to write, is to type it on Notepad first, then copy/paste it to the thread, so it can't get lost. Even if your login times out and has to be re-set, you can copy again from Notepad.

Hello
The best way is to create it in Word and then paste it over into SF. This way your work is not lost and you can pr e edit it before posting it.
