Message from above

My boss from work gave me a chance and a job when I didn’t even have any experience whatsoever in his department.

He gave me financial security and I am forever grateful to him for having faith in me and I thank God for this blessing I got and the ones I will get in the future.

This story, is about my boss.

He lost his dad when he was fairly young. He suffered very much from this lost because it happened so fast and he and his family never had time to prepare mentally. It was a stupid accident. The kind of accident that makes one wonder: “why?”

The week before Christmas he had to go outside Ottawa for a few days with a co-worker for training.

After work they ended up in a resto-bar for diner and a few drinks. At one point he had to go back outside to put more money in the machine for parking.

Walking on the sidewalk outside in the cold a few clients were smoking and as he's getting back to the restaurant’s entrance, an old women stops him.

He remembers feeling like she was really strange. She gave him a Christmas card saying: “this is for you”

He tries to give her some money for the card but she refuses with a hand gesture and walks away.

No matter. He walks back into the restaurant, card in hand, without thinking about it any longer.

But she’s always reminding him of the card she just gave him because she keeps walking in and out of the restaurant and every time she walks in, she's always looking at him and this always brings him back to the card she gave him.

He decides to open it. 3 angels are inside the card with only a handwritten note saying: Merry Christmas.” And, it is signed: “Dad”

This suddenly feels very surreal.

He says to his co-worker:” this women is crazy”

He then responds to him:” no she’s not, this is a message from your father and she is the messenger” (which was very unlike him to say something like that)

The old women did not return to the restaurant after my boss read his card.

It warms his heart to think that his father from above whish’s him well and his watching over him
