Colorado Plateau centered around four corners area i.e. N.East AZ is where Ive driven.

Scenic red rock back road from Chinlee AZ to Cortez CO has so many highs and lows while driving. You can watch the temperature rise and fall on auto's outside thermometer as you drive.

Scenic red rock drive from north of Monument Valley{ very low } through Kayenta to Grand Canyon North Rim{ very high }. In august we left high camp ground and at first turn hit by heay hail storm that covered 2 lane road in ice. Weird/wild! Saw no elk.

Painted desert AZ.

Hopi mesas{ 1 and 2 } with their steep cliffs and high point vistas.

Drive from Phoenix to Flagstaff is from low to high and we had suprise of light snow on car as we passed the watch out for elk sign once you enter the forested areas.
