After having watched my father in law linger and suffer for at least 10 years with Alzheimer's disease, I want a quick death. I have suffered enough and want it over quickly.
How it happens is of no concern for me. I had an aunt who was diagnosed with a inoperable brain tumor and once she was told, she lasted less than a week.
I will say that I have done extensive research on death and dying. I found that many souls actually leave the body before the last breath. So what sounds like suffering is merely the body ceasing to exist. The soul does not experience it. That gives me comfort.

I learned a long time ago, that it doesn't matter what happens on the outside at death, but what happens on the inside. So how? Happy, relaxed, at peace, able to fully let go, and conscious(take that as you will).  |

After a long walk on a bright cold day, wrapped up in layers, blue skies and sunshine and perhaps autumn or spring colours, a half of cider, a few laughs and then boooom! I'm gone.

that is very comforting. I always said i'd want to die quickly but if it wasn't the case this is good to know :) |
