My Original New Age Music
Hi,
This is my first post on this board and I'd like to share with you my New Age music and get reactions to it.
It is solo piano music that is very relaxing and soothing to the soul.
I hope you enjoy it, hope to hear from some of you.

As this is my first post, I can't post a url. You can find my channel by searching Nakulan Bala in youtube. It should be the first one to pop up. Once I have 15 posts, I'll post the URL.
Thanks!

i've listened to Dinner with Dracula Captainnumber36;
it's good, it's 'moody'. i imagine that some additional instruments
might enhance it.
also, have you considered raising the camera a bit? less "yamaha" and
more of your fingering might be a benefit.

I like to get different angles for different videos. I'll try to put some up where you can see my hands better, try "Goliath", you can see my hands on that one.
I do think other instruments would enhance it, but it's so hard to find other people to play with, and plus, I enjoy the sound of a solo piano.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I think a drum machine would be a good addition. One of the issues I have with a lot of New Age music is that it is all harmony and occasional disharmony without any rhythm instruments. Life has rhythm and that should be reflected in the music too. Too much of new age music just tries to be pleasant but it is the disharmonies which are able to evoke something from us, produce tension followed by the relaxation when we return to harmonic notes again. The same goes for tempo changes.
The piano does however mitigate the lack of a rhythm section somewhat.

Cool! I'll keep that in mind. Though I haven't much of a clue of how to use a drum machine, but I'd guess they shouldn't be too difficult. I wonder how it would be to perform with a drum machine, solo...
