The thinketh in the heart has room for discernment.

Rom 1:28,p.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice.

Here the word "mind" cannot be replaced with "heart" and make any sense. Although heart and mind are comparable in many places, in the heart we receive God's wisdom. They are certainly not equal and do not refer to the same entity. The heart is the root of the mind, not the same thing. So the thinketh in his heart is the end result, the heart manifests as thought and our intentions.

Pure awareness is heart-centered, the knowledge of God, hence the outflow of divine love, serenity, and peace. Without thought, rather a stillness and moving/looking past thought. Contemplative monks/nuns get this insight from all faiths and traditions.

It's a good starting point to define and know God from within the heart.

Jesus was the light and the truth, fully realized.

For those with ears to hear. God's light and love are always with us all, within our hearts. Go where you will. God's peace be with you, it's not from you but moves through you. As it moves me.. you probably have other Buddhist views.
