Every person has free will no contract is made between souls so there is no agreement.so there is nothing to carry out.

So you are essentially making a comparison of universal wisdom of a soul and the free will of a person. Not even the same level. Try to think outside the box and realize the picture is bigger than you could possible imagine.

In my opinion, we are here to grow ourselves, grow a particular type of consciousness, and in growing that particular type of consciousness we encounter challenges related to our growth; growing pains if you will. The greater the challenge, once conquered, the greater the reward.

Problems are challenges to our growth, and given that we have a fight or flight response, some choose to meet those challenges while others bow out. I see nothing wrong with backing away from a challenge; we can get tired of facing obstacles head on all the time, and trying to figure out how to negotiate them.

My esoteric studies say that nothing travels in a straight line, our journey is circular. The same challenges come around again, and again, until we have mastered them. Our return is a spiral journey that goes into greater vistas, into more expansive heights when we meet the challenges, even reincarnation is a circular journey; often referred to as a “wheel” of birth and death.

Our conscious waking mind is manual, we pull the lever to make a decision and assign labels like “good” and “bad” to those decisions, while our sublime consciousness is automatic, it knows the journey, and has already decided to see the journey through regardless of the situation. There is no good or bad, there is just the understanding that you are the path that you are on.

People will tell you those who commit suicide are cowards (something I find insensitive) yet voluntarily going into the abyss of death could also be seen as quite a courageous thing.

I agree we should generally discourage people from it, and that it's a 'permanent solution to a temporary problem', but perhaps occassionally God actually wants it to happen and it is pre-determined?

I believe now we have free will. It's sad if some one checks out before their time but sometimes in the case of illness, mercy killing is a way out if we feel trapped. There are no negative repercussions for suicide. That's only what religion teaches us.

The purpose of our life is to experience life not death, but if we become sick or trapped in a sick body. Leaving it is preferable.

What could you learn from killing yourself? You might gain a better appreciation for your life once you see what you could have done with it during your life review.

Very well put Starman. May I ask what your esoteric studies involve and your source of learning? You have a great grasp of the concepts.

I have been looking into myself for many decades now, learned how to quiet my mind and do meditation back in the 1970’s, have had many out-of-body experiences, and coupled my experiences with various studies, including comparing and contrasting the world’s religions, studying both eastern and western spiritual practices, Hermetic philosophy, esoteric psychology, and a host of other works over the decades. But what I referred to in my post came from the Hebrew Kabbalah, an esoteric work on the mystical nature of human consciousness.

P.S. Thanks for the comment.
