Rover: A Unique Pet Relationship

I just wanted to share my past experience with a previous cat of mine. We named his Rover. Here is how he got his name.

Before he was born, I would always have the mother laying on my chest. Never did this before, and never did it after that pregnancy. (She had many litters.) As soon as the kitten could walk, this kitten always followed me, ran after me, etc. It was as if I was his momma. We decided, because of this very obvious connection, we would keep him around (I only wish we had the money to get him fixed, because I miss him now.) He insisted on sleeping in my bed with me, or at least in my room. No other cat (or any pet) has ever done that.

I remember at some point later thinking about what reason I could say to explain our connection. It could be that I spent so much time with him physically near my heart while he was still in the womb. I've also considered perhaps it was a close and dear past life relationship finding itself again in this lifetime. I've also heard of other similar relationships between pets and owners. One in particular, was convincing that it was the owner's deceased husband coming back to her.

Whatever the kind of relationship was between me and Rover, it was very special. I miss him. The last time I saw him was probably around 10 years ago. And I'm curious if Rover and I will ever reunite in the future. I'm curious if it was that kind of relationship.

Its totally possible that your cat could come back to you even in another pet.

Heres a little story about a previous pet i had. When i was real little i had a dashund, and unfortunately another dog got into our backyard, the two got into a fight, and mom couldnt afford any medical treatment. So my pet died within like two hours. Really sad how that happened i wish i could have done something.

Anyway a lot later when i was 24 i was looking for pets to adopt and found a 4 year old dashund, which is the age my previous dashund passed. I just remember thinking and feeling that she was the reincarnation of that same pet that died when i was a kid. For no reason in particular really... But we had a special bond. She loved me very much and likewise. The first day i got her it was like she knew she was going home with me. I went to open my car door and she jumped right in, wagging her tail without me helping.

Its hard to say if she was actually that same previous dogs reincarnation, but nevertheless i believed she was. :)

Animals are so precious.

aimtobe - You will meet again. If not in this physical life, than on the other side. Thanks for sharing your story.

Imagine for a moment....Rover isn't a "pet" (although humans like to use such words to describe human/animal friendships) Just suppose Rover is a Soul friend and companion who has known you through many lifetimes. And when you meet up again in the next world you will see the Soul family bond that has existed for some time?
Species doesn't matter so much there. Nor do intellectual abilities, differences in such things, or lack of intellect. It's the spiritual qualities which a Soul possesses that count. Not all Soul family has to be of the human species.
When we meet them (whatever species they happen to be) we always know them instantly -in the Heart even though we might not have words or rational thoughts for it -here in Earth life anyway.

I wonder though, since the cat's life has probably expired already, I wonder, could "Rover" also come back to meet me in my current life, but as another life himself?

Whether a Soul companion will reincarnate and come back to be with you physically during the course of your life....I have no idea. I honestly don't know. I am thinking that such a thing could possibly happen but might be quite rare.

You see, the years a human has left to live out their life on Earth is no time at all in Spirit. My own dog has not reincarnated and remains in Spirit.

But there might be special circumstances where reincarnation in a hurry is required for the well being or growth of both Souls.....I don't know enough about that though.
