If you're actively seeking peace in your life and you are only doing meditation...

Meditation is a powerful spiritual tool for finding peace in your life. But it might surprise you to learn it isn't the only thing you can do to pursue peace. There is another powerful spiritual practice you might be neglecting called Yoga. I'm certain you've heard of it - but have you truly absorbed the message of its powerful potential: it is transformative.
I hope I can open your eyes to the weight of that word, 'transformative'. If you could experience what your life would be like after months of dedicated practice for a single day, I guarantee you would do all you could to practice every day. I want you to think, to really think about all the times you've gotten angry, sour, frustrated, or perhaps even raged out in your life. Didn't you regret feeling like that a lot? Didn't you, as an evolving person, set intentions before hand not to get angry but felt you had little to no control of having the emotion overtake you? It's a familiar story, because it is the path of every human on this Earth. We all struggle so hard against such powerful forces - the most powerful of which is our very heart - a factor that if you have life wisdom you know is simply outside your control.

But this isn't about controlling your heart. Yoga has the capability to free your heart from its chains. All the negativity in life that you feel can be overcome. One particularly powerful branch of Yoga is called 'Kundalini Yoga' - it aims specifically at working at releasing all things negative. I'm not sure if you're aware, but the transformation can be extraordinarily powerful! As in, you find yourself saying, "I cannot believe that I could feel this way."

I think those of you who are hardcore meditation, practicing every day with determination are on a good path. But give Kundalini Yoga a week of solid genuine practice and you'll notice an immediate dramatic difference. The path to peace is laid out in your tears and your sweat. Like all challenging endeavors in life, it will take practice to hone it to perfection. But I guarantee after a few months you will swear by it. I've set many people on this path and every one of them hails it. I hope you will seriously consider it.

As for teachers: Brett Larkin on YouTube has great practices. Gloria Latham on Gaia.com is great for beginners though it is a dollar for their trial.

Peace friends.

You need to couple your yoga practice with Truth Practice. That is becoming the embodiment of virtues, contentment, gratitude, peace, forgiveness, goodness, strength of mind and will, having an attitude that is uncaring about and unaffected by the negativities and rubbish of others and of the darkness of our own minds.

Rid yourself of the 5 thieves.

Read Nanaks teachings from Guru Granth Sahib and apply them to your life in practice. Silence and live free from the lust, anger, greed, envy and jealousy, ego, attachment and selfish pride.
