Quantum physics fascinates me but I can't wrap my head around it. Anything math-heavy, over a 7th grade pre-algebra level, I just can't do it. But I try and try to wrap my head around the equations. Although I'm more knowledgeable in ecology, biology, anthropology, and history, almost every possible topic interests me. Including physics.

Thermodynamics and electromagnetism are a little easier for me to comprehend. The basic principles are easy, but I can't compute the equations, and I get my joules, volts, hertz, and teslas all mixed up. Among like 4-6 other units of measurement.

I've actually been looking for someone with knowledge in those subjects to answer a few amateur questions for me. I'm writing a science-fantasy novel for my own amusement only, and I need laws of physics so I can break them. The science/physics forums around the web aren't too kind though. Pretty much told me I was stupid and referred me to some articles, things I've already read through before. I just can't fully understand them without a live human to clarify some things.

So if we were to look at quantum phenomena from that perspective, it does begin to make sense. The tough part is wrapping you head around what an experience would be like outside of space/time. Alot of the common descriptives, or measurements would not work because they are irrelevant. That is why science is having a tough time with it.

To the OP...yes I do.

@Rawnrr - LOL...yes well said. The other reason is that in their general and ongoing search for a unifying principle, the only one that has yielded any consistency to date is consciousness, which clearly is also outside time/space. Or, that is the clear implication of what has been observed to date in the quantum universe over the last century or so.

In recent years, there has been a grudging acceptance of consciousness as the unifying force or principle. They have finally gone where no man dared previously to go, hahaha. But they don't like it simply because they can't wrap their heads around the other clear implications of this, which are, among other things, that much of what science ultimately want to study remains ultimately out of scope using all known scientific methods and tools.

Simply because quantum physics says much if not all of both existence and our direct experience of existence is subjectively created via consciousness. Through routes as yet unknown and potentially forever out of scope to science.

Peace & blessings
