3 card love reading yes/no

I did a three card spread. This is was my first real time trying tarot and would like other interpretations on it. I feel like maybe I'm too close to the question. It'd be much appreciated! Thanks!

So I initially wanted a yes/no answer but instead I felt like the cards told me more of what I need to hear instead. To me it shows there was interest but as of now it's not in the cards and I really need to focus more on creating a base for myself. Which is honestly spot on! I feel like before I start worrying about a love I need to get my self together and lay some sort of foundation. However, I'm having trouble interpreting the last card. With it being reversed is this negative? I take the two reversed as a no but is that only because I need to first work on my own problems. Is there any promise of a future with him if I let go now and begin to work on me?


Question - Will past fling and I reconnect romantically again? (I used his full name when I asked)


First card - 3 of pentacles upright

Middle card - 8 of cups reversed

Third card - queen of pentacles reversed

I do deserve better he was an ***. It just sucks because there was such an impact left just from knowing him a short amount of time. However I can't see him changing his ways.
