Went into a hypnosis atate while meditating

Hi

I use to do sleep hypnosis just before going to sleep till it interfered with my meditation and stopped, that was about 6 month's ago. Was meditating today and everything was going well and my mind was starting to get clear and quiet and then it happened again, i went into a hypnosis state just allot stronger than other times.

My muscles relaxed and my body fell asleep and my mind awake and my mind was very clear and calm. It was super relaxing like i have never felt before. I let my mind go deeper and deeper in hypnosis till i feel over and was laying on my side and got distracted cause my body was sore from laying on the ground.

Done another meditation tonight and it happened again and 3 hour later i still feel super relaxed and can't believe it, just awesome!!!

I don't know what to do and if i should do anything different as it's very relaxing but that is not what meditation is about, right?

Any advice what i should do??

Thank you

If it makes you feel relaxed and refreshed, there's no harm in it.

Don't get addicted to it. Do it on a cozy bed so that you don't get sore again.

It sounds like it's all working well as mind becomes highly alert with a sort of spacious clear feel, though I have no idea what hypnosis feel like. Great job. Well done. Very inspiring.

Meditation should be clear, bright, alert. If you can't even sit straight, you may want to reconsider.

Also, meditation is not always all sunshine and bright lights, whatever happens, be with it gently. This can include feelings of unhappiness, distraction, tiredness. i.e. don't believe that only the "exciting" stuff is meditation. Keep awareness of the body and keep it alert, and upright.

This is a good start, in my view.

I haven't actually collapsed in posture before (though I sometimes think I might when in the standing position, eek), but we're all on our own trip, and I thought your description here was true to life, and inspirational for the rest of us.

Anthony,
Have you ever tried Yoga Nidra?
There are quite a few good Yoga Nidra meditation youtube videos available.
