Tim Hortons Iced Cap Lids

A skunk in my neighborhood has been taken to the vet because it almost died from a Tim Hortons plastic iced cappuccino lid around its neck. Earlier this fall a squirrel in my neighborhood had an iced cappuccino lid stuck around its waist and I tried to help it but it ran away. This is really bothering me because the design of these lids is really unnecessary and is harmful to animals. I sent an email complaining to Tim Hortons but not sure what else I can do. Maybe start a petition.

Hello

Similar thing happened here in my area last year. I remember seeing a bird flying with a six pack rings around its neck when it took off from a roof. So I made a habit of picking up garbage especially plastic. You can also leave signs saying 'do not litter' at your front lawn. And have others in your area do the same. I've noticed living near a public school full of pre-teens doesn't help having a clean lawn in my neighbor. I would always see plastic bags and bottles near my house. And most of the people in my area don't even care. Which is all the more reason to move. A petition would be a good option.
