I remember reading in Ivy Northage's autobiography (called 'while i remember') some interesting stories regarding Helen :

Helen never took care of herself properly, on the time she was seized by someone , during her seance - her own guide, Albert, had warned her in the morning not to hold the seance.

Helen was often in and out of hospital and had to undergo an operation for ulcers. She told Ivy that after the operation the surgeon came to her in bed, his manner curious.
'Tell me,' he inquired , 'Do you eat a normal diet ? 'When we opened you up we found cigarettes, papers, cigarette ends, toffee papers, we found all sorts of bits of fluff and dirt - it made us wonder."

Afterwards when Ivy asked her own guide ( Chan ) about this - he explained that the ectoplasm going from her body, trailed on the floor before it took form or disintegrated, picking up loose bits of debris on the way..

Hi Tricia
I read Helen Duncan's book and how she was arrested while she was in trance and imprisoned.

Love light and blessings to all

That story really made me laugh because we never think of ectoplasm as being a kind of a hover, no wonder she suffered from ulcers
