I see that you are 43 years old, and I am 49. It would be interesting to hear what 20 year olds have to say on the matter. I've never actually heard anyone say that they are the two most famous bands of all time (apart from the Beatles) but it would not surprise me if they were. They really did make amazing music. Where do the Stones fit in???

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Way too many to list least I forgot some, but recently my most favorite band is "Avantasia" and their album "Ghostlights." I absolutely LOVE power metal!

It has an extremely uplifting and positive effect on me when I'm feeling low vibrational energy.

I also like Smooth Jazz like Boney James.

If we go by just album sales the Stones make the top twenty but not top ten but as far as over all popularity and influence they would probably make the top 10 but so would the Grateful Dead.
