Meditation Retreat

I will be going on my first ever meditation retreat coming up here and I need to know what kind of food to bring for the Monks?

Also, does it need to be prepared? or can I bring beans and grains?

I think they will inform you of what you need to bring ... and don't bring anything other than that. Have they told you what to bring?

Thats strange... you'd think they'd tell you exactly what you need to bring. How do you know you should bring food?

How long is the retreat for?

OK... I've never done a retreat like that, I hope someone knows what kind of thing to bring for them, I have no idea.

I bet it's going to be awesofabulistic

As I recommended in chat, vegetarian most likely. A common offering is rice or fruit. I am sure they will have already prepared food before hand. The easy way is to just bring a bag of various fruits :)

Oh and "lunch" is the only meal monks eat throughout the day.
