Australian spirit

Possibly the early Church in south India influenced some Hindu texts and this seems to have reached Oz in 1200s from Hindu Java in Indonesia . ( another long story) . It appears that a form of " spirit " was taught in Murawari country , NSW.

The Muruwari tribe ( west NSW ) believed that Bida-Ngulu (meaning 'forehead of fire') was the creator of all things. Bida-Ngulu lived in the sky and his greatest gift to men and woman was dhuwidi "living spirit" .. son on earth was Ngulu-Bida
-----------
Bida-Ngulu :
Sanskrit bheda , Old Javanese bheda, bhidura "splitting . dividing". Skr bhedira, bhidira-, "a thunderbolt " (lightning). Hindu chakra kundalini energy is known to cause a fiery sensation in the forehead .

Dhuwidi is perhaps from Indonesian Javanese language of 800-1300.

Old Java widhi 1. rule, law, ordering, regulation, disposition; prescribed rites or ceremonies , dewa- .
With dewa "god" it is OJ dewawidhi (Skt) "divine order or disposition " .
Skt दैवविधि daivavidhi "course of fate".

Malayalam daivavidhi "divine judgment"."Pronunciation of the Divine Judgment" "predestination".

Skt daiva vidhi "rule of gods". "..vidhi goads us to work, and, being goaded by it, we turn to work. ... The knowledge of vidhi thus drives us to our Vedic duties. When a man hears.."

Bali , Indonesia: . "God is the embodiment of the sacred rays of Hyang Widhi (God)(= dewa widhi ?) who gives holy power to the perfection of living creatures. Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa manifests as Bhatara Shiva Natharaja (dance) as does embodied Dewata Nawa Sanga ."

This suggests that spirit of power becomes a god such as Shiva . The last speaker of Yaygir language at Yamba NSW where a boat arrived from Ngareenbil "overseas islands" ( an Old Balinese expression) told me the name of the god there . He is Mahhji ( as I heard it ). Indonesian Mahaji means "respected lord" and means "Shiva" in Maharashtra India. Shiva is the lord of kundalini yoga and carries a thunderbolt.
Other examples fit the pattern of Indonesian contacts.
