I am so sorry I have been away for so long. I wanted to post a little poem of Matt's entitled "Heaven"

I thank you all for being here, for everything you have done to keep Matt's spirit alive, to nourish this site, and my own spirit.


Heaven


It is not a place, perhaps not even atime.

It is a perefect moment, anexperience, a shared

Celebration, it is a feeling…


Heaven is the wonder of a new life’sarrival,

Their first smile, the early stumbles,

The elementary words, the first steps.


Heaven is chasing the sun’s approachto slumber,

Holding close the enraptured frame of

A beloved, equally starry-eyed.


Heaven is the cool refreshingness of arainfall,

Welcome after a summer’s burning heat,

Tingling a passion on your skin.


Heaven is hearing the words “I loveyou”

For the first time, or speaking them

The same, with a breaking voice.


Heaven is the daily opening of aflower,

The freedom of a butterfly fromchrysallis,

An animal’s gentle stroking.


Heaven is watching the first glows ofmorning

Light, coaxing the wake of littlebirds,

After talking the night long.


Heaven is a look in their eyes,

When they see your precious efforts

To awaken their excitement.


Heaven is knowing the safety of a

Lover’s arms, always close beside

To reach for in the night.


Heaven is the touch of skin upon skin,

Of lip upon lip, tongue touchingtongue,

Of hands clasped, bodies locked.


Heaven is awaking in the morning,

To find that it wasn’t a dream, that

It is the same lips that greet you.


Heaven is a moment that lasts alifetime,

Or a lifetime that lasts but a moment.

It is the most precious moment of alifetime…


Heaven can be found on Earth…
