I am going to be away for some weeks and I just wanted to say Thanks for the responses BlueGreen, Enigmatic Spammos , Psychoslice and Morpheus.
Morpheus,I agree with much of what you say and you have given me a lot to think about ..thank you.
To answer your question ..I don't believe humanity would be better off without religion.
With this I agree:
"The violence we see through the ages, and prevalent in the world today, en mass, is about fallen human nature... and animalistic EGO, in humanity, involving the early developed "Reptilian Brain".
Which is inherent in our evolved physiology. Not about any, "Religion"."

I see no difference either way.

The beautiful message and spirit sent out from Jesus, I see as being infiltrated or perhaps hi-jacked ( I can't think of better words to describe).I expected more.This is why I say I am not a Christian.
