Yesterday was overcast so it was perfect for getting out and weeding. My fingers are sore today! But I got to play in the dirt!  |

I forgot to mention, in order for me to go outside I have to wear insect repellent the mosquitoes are so bad where I live. I've tried 'em all and I can tell you Ranger Ready is the best. And unlike deet products it actually smells good. Like oranges. They use Picaridin as the active ingredient instead of deet.
It also comes in Unscented, Amber and Night Sky.
I put a tiny bit on my skin and the mosquitoes literally bounce off of me and go elsewhere.

I'm more or less trying to garden between rainy days.
I wanted an evening primrose for years so finally found a spot for it.
I thought I'd try lemon thyme and hopefully it'll winter over.

Well I have a spot along my fence that raspberries just don't do well. It's to hot for them there. I stopped by a nursery yesterday and bought 2 Better Boy tomato plants. I opted for large plants. Mine are about 1 1/2 feet tall.
I have to harden them for the next week since they have been raised in a nursery so I should be able to plant them in a week. I hope so because they are root bound.
