The Moon outside the Window

A few lines i scribbled down this morning after being very pleasantly and somewhat mysteriously greeted by a full moon in the sky at 3/4 light. The illumination was brief however which inspired this verse i suppose. What about the title very original isnt it ? Bet no one has used that before.

The moon outside my window
Just after dawn
Appeared for a moment
And was gone
Behind thick cloud
As though it had never been
Haven’t my glimpses of you
Been like this
Hasn’t my love showed
And disappeared
Like the ebbing and flowing
Of the tide
Isn’t our hibernation over
Only for awhile?
The dark black clay
Shouldering our jackets
Of smiles and tears
That will come with the spring
And vanish again before
The first frost lays its gown
Across the fields
The moon outside my window
gone now
Like it had never been.
