What do we look like?

In your experience/opinion, what do we look like as souls after we've died? Most of the reading that I have done states that our astral bodies are essentially the same as our physical ones, but in perfect health and young (20s or thirties). Is this true?

The only one I have actually seen in the astral after her "death" (of the body) was my dog. And she was exactly the same. And felt warm as toast, and filled with her best energy. And had no signs of the lumps on her lovely little body which were the marks of the Hemangiosarcoma which claimed her life.
Though I saw one or two others who were deceased, that was at a much earlier time when I was only partly aware, somewhat skeptical, made everything too-complicated, and wasn't even sure whether we "survive" death or not. And I couldn't tell whether they were the same or different, to the way they had been when they lived on Earth, as I had not known them previously.

Well from working in the World of Spirit I know well that they will show to me in the way that they will be best known to someone getting a message. That can at times be a man or woman the passed well in old age, but they show in their 30's to thier child.

I had that with me Dad, when he showed to me Son that was 2 at the time. He came in at the age he was when I was 2 to show me Son he was there. Why well that was one of the 'only' pictures of me Dad I had on hand. I was two in the picture and in that picture was the family dog that also came with him. Remmber I am 50 so the picture was black and white.

Many say they show in the 20's I have not personally found that to be rule of thumb at times I even see them in the way they passed on, so tha I can at times help with something surrounding their death.

I personally feel it comes down to how a Spirit wants us to see them, and how open to clearly see the Medium is.

Yes, they appear to us as we knew them, only young, healthy and beautiful....they do have a spirit or ethereal body....most seem to be about 30ish....but they can shed or exchange at any time....Don't forget that they have had many bodies/lives and may prefer one over another.....I like to call them "new and improved"....The astral level is very much like here---wherever "here" may be to each individual entity.......and this is "usually" the realm from which they reincarnate........

Yes. Spot on.

Though the spirit body is more radiant if there is a more evolved spirit within (i.e. they were a very loving, kindly person)

One thing for sure, my higher self does not exactly look like me, just how I expect her to be, and she looks human enough.

When you are born you look very different to when you die of old age, and you will also be very different.
But you are still the same person for all that time, what is it that remains consistant for all of your life? What is the template that your body follows for its life?
Maybe this constant factor, the eternal in the temporary, be it the soul/astral body/whatever is what shows after the body is gone
