What's your idea of Heaven?

Do you believe heaven exists? I heard from some near death experiences that you can manifest anything through thought there. So what's your idea of Heaven?

If I were to romanticise about it:

Mount Kailash - where Shiva, Parvati and Ganesha live, along with Nandi the Bull etc etc

My idea is much different than a lot of people's idea of what the afterlife is like. Im a very scientific person and I don't believe in fairies, unicorns, or roads and kingdoms made of gold. I think when we die, we are some kind of light or energy. My idea would be total peace, stillness and becoming some kind of rays of sunshine or light in the universe. We possibly have a home we belong to on the other side, but I am not sure about all that. I think we are the electromagnetic energy that runs through our nervous system and interacts with our cells. So maybe I will just become some kind of sunshine, energy, wind...or hurricane

My idea of heaven is to be left alone to create myself and my reality, maby poke my head out once in a while to see what my neighbor is doing and then go back home where I belong.

I could also say that I am my own heaven.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Are you "alone" now in your own heaven, "I AM", or are you poking your head out once again ? It can alternate.

I agree strongly with your idea, Colorado. It's very interestingly similar. I simply see it as energy not being shackled by a rotting meat sack called the body, and no longer dealing with time :):) so everything is always and never is as good a time as now :)

Hi, Colorado. I really like your post. I think it's cool that as a person who is "very scientific", you still open yourself to considering realms that don't allow for much concrete, tangible evidence and data - ie, the spiritual realm.

Your post makes me think of that Johnny Depp movie, "Transcendence." He was very scientific too, and using his knowledge, he was able to create another vessel of consciousness through scientific application. (Don't want to say too much and ruin it for you if you haven't seen it.)

And Miss Hepburne and a few others referred to the movie, "What Dreams May Come". Yeah, that's a keeper. I love that one too when I need to go on another pondering about what awaits me after my time is done here.

If the other side is entirely what I want it to be rather than what I think it will be.... then my corner of it would be an endless forest teeming with wild animals and fishing lakes, and a roomy timber cottage in the middle.
