Dragonfly or a Fairy?
Hello all!
I was out recently taking photographs of nature and thought of how wonderful it would be to take pictures of the many dragonflies flying around my house. I found that it was very difficult as every time I got close to do so they would fly away.
Being one who believes in fairies and believing they can transform into dragonflies to disguise themselves, I thought it would be best to ask permission before I continued taking pictures. It proved to be difficult still, but one particular dragonfly became overly gracious to let me take a photograph.
My mind started wondering and I couldn't help but to think about it. Was it a normal dragonfly or a very sweet fairy helping me out?
I tried researching google to see if there was a way to tell a normal dragonfly apart from a genuine fairy, but didn't really find anything.
I was wondering if there were more advanced friends of fairies who would know more about this. If so, I would really love to hear how to tell the two apart.
Thanks a bunch!

I'm sorry if this isn't helpful but I have heard stories about faeries riding dragonflies hehe . I have had experiences with dragonflies as well ! I had befriended one & it would fly towards me & follow me & even hovered in front of my face . It was a funny little fellow , it was the only dragonfly I have met so far that actually seemed interested in me . The rest may hover a few times but then eventually they would fly away haha . However this one seemed to hang around . So~ Maybe little "odd" behaviors like that could mean a faerie is near hehe ~♥︎

Yes, I have also heard that fairies use dragonflies as transportation. I'd like to believe the little creature I was taking pictures of was a fairy. Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part since I've been searching for a fairy friend, but one cant help but to wonder at the odd behavior that is presented with one dragonfly while the others fly instantly at your presence.

OMG! I'm just loving reading about all the marvelous experiences you people have. I've sensed a spiritual connection to insects at times. I let the wasps build their nests on my porch, they don't bother me and I don't bother them. A couple times I've had Preying Mantis visit me on my outdoor table, staying for two days once.
Now I'm wanting to make a connection with fairies - how do I even start?

It was a dragonfly ...... however ...... when Dragonflies are at Peak i have photographed Air Sprites ( often called Fairies) but only after asking the Divine Being to show me if they are real!
To capture this ..... and it may not be too late ...... wait until 30-45 minutes after sunset (dragonflies cannot see in the dark and are in the trees or shrubs by then) and take pictures near water and/or over water with your flash on. Air Sprites (Fairies) are closer to Light then Form ..... and they can if they wish reflect their invisible form from the flash light that normally passes through them. It is best to Pray and Ask the Divine Being your questions and ask ITS assistance~ But hurry ..... the dragonflies are losing their wings and returning to Spirit ~
And yes ..... Air Sprites do precede Dragonflies ~ Are they one in the same? Kind of ~! :) Have fun ~
