What does it mean when the same thing keeps happening?

It suggests that your Soul/Consciousness is recreating a situation for your benefit. Something within you is being externally projected to be acted out, and you have a choice of responses.

When we learn whatever it is we are meant to learn then that particular storyline ends. And a new drama takes its place.

So is life a Tragedy or a Comedy? Perhaps both.

Life itself is exactly what you observe.

Eternity is depicted exceptionally well in the movie Groundhog Day. One life, lived repeatedly, over and over again and again, from eternity to eternity, and for all of ever.

No one can snatch anyone out of my hand.

Life is like a record (think of a vinyl record). Each groove on the record represents a life cycle (an eternity). The big picture of the record never changes but each groove contains slight variations.

We are born, we live however long, we die. And it will happen forever and ever.

You seem to be glimpsing your personal big picture. Or, it could be a stepping stone, so to speak, of getting to your big picture.

Once you make the cognition I'd think you're in for a change, dunno. You could make the cognition and it wouldn't change a thing.

You see the pattern. I have a saying...

If it has a pattern it can be defined
If it can be defined it has a meaning
If it has a meaning it has a purpose
If it has a purpose it is not a coincidence

You may or may not recognize the meaning and purpose but you're clear on the pattern.
