Heaven is the place where all desires can be reached, regardless of physical or mental limitations.

I agree with many posters here that heaven is what you create, what you can imagine, and is, therefore, limited by one's imagination. Some people will imagine places and forms that are comfortable to them. Some will go sci-fi-fantasy.

I also agree with what Rah Nam implies that these "heavens" are but stepping stones to far different, far more expanded versions of our "selves". But, ultimately, we will find a way to detach from all imaginings of "self"--of "us and them" mental attachments--and return to full Unity Consciousness, where there is no need or reason for objectivity or subjectivity, only all-inclusive Is-ness.

Heaven is also a place to plan future lives, or to do work helping others. Spiritual development is much more important over there, than it is here.

If I could imagine "Heaven on Earth"...It would be a cozy house/log cabin somewhere on a hilltop surrounded by deep forests near a river/lake with a view of the mountains...

Same!

Or.. a crumbling stone manor on a dramatic rocky cliff overlooking the ocean and misty moorlands.

heaven exists.
by definition, heaven is the abode of God.
since there is no separation between God and creation,
the location of heaven is found at all locations.

I don't really think that there is "Heaven" with angels and God sitting in clouds... I believe that after death our souls become free from the chains of our bodies. We return to eternity and become able to be everywhere, know everything. It's something.. I don't know... The highest state we can reach..

Close!

One thing is off....we still are ourselves...do you know everything now?
Well, we don't there either! But, we know more than we do here...because
that darn ego is lifted quite a bit.
We know more love and honesty and closeness.
But, alas, not "everything".

It's funny because there are so many levels ...and what one may see
as Heaven is simply a release from earthly problems.
But what is really Heaven is being immersed in Divine Love forever!
Connected to the One...our Source, our Creator in everlasting service and consciousness.

Sound good? Start now! Hahahahaha!

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Funny this is the Afterlife in Anthony Borgia's , "Life in the Unseen World"...
dictated to him by Father Benson, a friend of his that passed.

When I read this ...I thought ..."Um, well this is selling yourself a bit short!!"
Sure, ya got a cottage and friends and a piano and fun times...but...
Um, there's WAY more!

And, there IS!
