Help! How do I say this?

A medium told me there is mold on the wooden floor board where the basement and first floor meet that has been making my family sick. Now, the mold cannot be cleaned since it is under the floor or the floor is covering over it. Everything else the medium said was verifiable and accurate. So, it is likely this is also true. However, my family does not believe in psychics/mediums. How do I hint there is mold? I already said that I read how mold is common in the floor boards of houses as old as ours, but the comment was ignored as if just something extra not to worry about.

I do not know if something can get rid of this mold without tearing up the floors, which my family would not do without proof there is mold.

Just say casually that you suspect mold under the floor boards that is the culprit behind what's making the family sick. That there are too many signs that point to this and you are worried about the health of family as well as yourself. Good luck!

Could you possible lift a small section up to look? Has it flooded maybe? You don't want to mess with mold. Does it smell like mold? How about the walls by the mold area? You could check it down by the floor.

First off if there was mold in the wooden floor boards their would be moisture present the floors will feel damp to the touch or be discolored. Mold grows so it would be coming up in the floors as well. I had an old house with mold issues and trust me you smell it and you see the signs of it.

If one does not want to discuss where the information came from simply do a test and put down some paper on the floor and see if it gets damp. That will tell ye if there is a water issue. That way nothing is said about a Medium telling on this.

I was also told there is some mold in the wood of walls. We have nice wood flooring in the kitchen that my family would never rip up and ruin. Since the mold is underneath the floor, it does not seem possible to do a mold test. Maybe an air sample would work better. The medium said the mold was caused by erosion of the old wood, not water damage.

Have you ever heard the saying "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink?" Same think applies to people who won't want to believe in something. The only other people who can confirm that would be if you have a professional come in to test for mold.

I guess if you are feeling particularly brazen, you could ask your guide to give you examples of things some of those skeptical people might have said or did when they didn't think anyone was watching......the kind of thing that would shock the **** out of them. Then afterwards say, "FYI.....that guide said there is mold in the ground." Then you can add."And if you choose not to listen, you choose to negatively affect everyone else's health."
