It's the attachment to the cake that will bring you back to earth
as long as we have physical attachments,
we need to work them out in the physical dimension
or so I have been told

Same as I believe, when meditating...if it is the nature of the Mind to have thoughts, fine...
then have the thoughts that will lead you to your Goal....not those silly thoughts.

I am myself choosing my next escapade to be the building, from scratch, of cars and motorcycles and this then is the intent. For me then a direction with a target is held somewhat loosely and a journey from here to where ever will ensue.
It is me asking the universe to enlighten whatever choices come before me with the greatest benefit both to me and whomever might encounter me on this journey and be open to all those moments which will be happy, joyful and full of curiosity for what could be and of the becoming therein pointing towards even more voluptuous possibilities.
Do I need or even want to acheive the ends loosely held... it doesn't matter in the least, but as is the nature of it all I will most probably stand alongside something that could be said to represent my original intentions and enjoy the glory just as much as someone who had never ever seen them before..

Mmm, this place...it seems every day it is ever easy to let go.

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru.

This brings to mind some good questions...
Should we seek to sever all attachments?

Ever easy? Or did you mean "never" easy?

I chop and chip and chop some more. But then it is always about me so I don't mind chipping and chopping away.

I've been chopping wood too. Started this yesterday.
Actually I started the day before yesterday and the floor was already there... not attached though, and the only whisper of a desire is to not get hurt... I don't like pain much.

Looks like a little house. What are you building for yourself?
Pain hurts.
