Natural Remedy for Sore Throat
A sore throat refers to pain, itchiness, or irritation of the throat. Throat pain is the primary symptom of a sore throat. It may get worse when you try to swallow, and you may have difficulty swallowing food and liquids.
Even if a sore throat isn’t serious enough for a trip to the doctor, it’s still painful and may prevent you from getting a good night’s sleep. Fortunately, you can use at-home remedies to soothe the pain and irritation.
Honey
Honey mixed in tea or taken on its own is a common household remedy for a sore throat. One study found that honey was even more effective at taming nighttime coughs than common cough suppressants. Other researchshows that honey is an effective wound healer, which means it may help speed healing for sore throats.

I'd like to add to your post.
The kind of honey would be unpasteurized and in liquid form so you can also make a paste of it to treat small wounds.
As for a sore throat, mix salt (make it as salty as you can comfortably handle) in warm water and gargle as that also helps. I haven't tried honey so have nothing for comparison.

If you can, buy some organic Myrrh Tincture, from a reputable herbalist. Don't use "Myrrh oil" which is for burners. Get the medicinal tincture.
Put a teaspoonful in a glass, then add about a dessertspoon of water. It will go "milky" and opaque. Add a little more water if you prefer.
It will taste very bitter so don't be put off by that. It's good medicine and is anti-bacterial.
Gargle with that about 3 times a day. I wouldn't do it before food, as it will leave a strong taste in your mouth, and you might not be able to taste much for an hour or two afterwards.
That can often stop a sore throat developing into tonsilitis or strep throat. But if it doesn't cure it you might need to see the doc.

Honey lemon tea is supposed to work well. Also salt water gargling.
