My wife recently had the same problem. We eventually discovered it was because she was checking her mobile when she got up to go to the toilet. As soon as she stopped using her mobile during the night, her sleep pattern returned to normal.

My wife has a large family that live in various timezones around the world, so she finds it hard to switch off. To have a good sleep you have to be able to switch off. I'm not saying it's due to using a mobile, but if anything is disturbing you during the night and activating your brain, you'll not want to return to sleep.

Not so irrelevant.

I found out our online activities are being monitored and recorded. I went here to delete everything. https://myactivity.google.com/myactivity

I found out everywhere I have gone since 2009 has also been monitored and recorded. I went and turned off my monitoring from my cell phone. And then I went here to delete all my known places I have visited. https://www.google.com/maps/timeline?hl=en&pb

It may take awhile to delete everything. I check everything at least once a month and delete what has been recorded on my online activities.

I don't worry about Google so much. They let you sort of control your data and explain everything to you. It's Facebook I worry about the most. I'm not entirely sure what to think about Apple.

Google can say it's deleted when I delete it but I bet apples to oranges they keep the data for their own use.

I saw on the news the other day how Facebook is accumulating your data. When you go to a site and use your Facebook sign-in. That hooks them up to you every time you go somewhere and sign in using Facebook sign-in password.

You can delete it.

I think it would be illegal if they lied to everyone about keeping the data.

I probably should have thought of that with Facebook, but I didn't. I thought it was odd that you could use Facebook to sign into everything. I do delete my Facebook activity sometimes. Though, to be honest, I delete my cookies, history and everything every time I close my browser. I also have tracking protection and I rarely ever sign into Facebook. When I do it's on my tablet or phone with their app. Which, I don't allow to track me and again, I never really use it or post anything personal. It just kind of sits there for me to use to keep in touch with people.
