!00% honesty?

Apparently most people value honesty yet we all lie everyday.

Could you handle people being 100% honest with you all the time and could you be honest to others 100% honest all the time?

Reminds me of the film "Invention of Lying". No...i don't think i could be one hundred percent honest. That would mean no Santa, Tooth Fairy etc and no more lying for the protection of others. So although i like to pride myself on being a honest person...when i've thought about this, i'm actually not.

I like the sound of a world in which we are all 100 per cent honest.

I think I value it when I'm talking with someone - I want their honest opinion and thoughts and feelings. And yes I do give it in return.

I dont like people lying to me, but the thing is you cant be hones all the time because you might hurt people with your honesty.
The world we live in is not perfect thats why we need lies.

Yeah, we've become comfortable with the little white lies we tell to spare another's feelings sometimes. BUT what would it be like, and how well would we adjust to all that honesty, LOL?!

i agree. white lies (or just not saying anything) are much better than 100% of the truth. would you really want top heads of countries being honest with each other??? trust me when i say it takes all i've got to keep my bipolar mouth shut most days even at home. it's a good thing!

Maybe people are dishonest with white lies etc due to a fear of the consequences of what they think will happen next and cant handle it.

Also a good point is that is your honesty the truth or just your own issue? Is it better to tell a white lie whilst you sort out the issue in your head?
