Lightbulb Divine Encouragement

Placing Attention on the Eternal Candle Within

Friends,

At times when you may be feeling down, you may uplift yourself through finding the eternal candle within, which is represented by a sane thought, such as a positive desire to bring happiness to another.

In the midst of sorrow, confusion, or any state of mind that doesn't feel good, if you catch hold of just one positive thought and build it up, feeding it with the light of your attention, this makes it more magnetic to positive results.

If you feel down, you may try uplifting another. This may sound counter-intuitive, yet by giving love you are in fact proving that you had it all along to give; and this giving of love can be something as simple and easy as wishing thoughts of good fortune for another.

The Dalai Lama has given his life to this practice of beginning his day with a special meditation for the well-being of the world, offering his Life Energies to the promotion of peace. He loses nothing by doing this, but gains everything. In other words, he mostly lives in a state of joyous increase, where his positive influence attracts great attention and support from the universe.

Would you like to live your life with a greater sense of peace and positive influence? Who wouldn't?

No One Else Needs to Know

Friends,

The good that you do, the love that you offer, the progress you have made, no one else really needs to know.

What this means is that you need not announce or proclaim it in order to reap the karmic rewards of your actions. Action that stems from a loving heart is its own reward, giving you instant joy.

Your actions are known, received and rewarded by the universe.

There is No Universe Outside of You

Friends,

Your mind is a universe. Your soul is a universe. Your consciousness is a universe. Your attitude is a universe. Your perception of yourself is a universe.

None of these universes, which are really aspects of an infinite omniverse, are outside of you, for you are Oneness. . .personified in your present form. . .but Oneness nevertheless.

Often in life we are taught to focus on what is wrong with our world in order to fix it but if too much emphasis is put only on what is wrong we can lose sight of what is right or as you say our light within. Beautiful words Awareness. Nice to see you posting again.

Hugs, Michelle11. Thank you for sharing your heart's light.

You Can Create Interesting New Perspectives

Friends,

You have all heard this one before: "Is the glass half full, or is it half empty?"

How about this: The glass is FULL of water/air, it is full in a way that contains both elements. It is filled with water and air. It is full of cosmic energy.

Instead of often repeating the same old clichés and common statements and beliefs, you can choose to take one of these popular ideas or sayings and re-engineer them in any way you choose, without the approval of others.

You can choose to define or perceive a thing in a way that you feel makes more sense to you (and all of you already do this), yet you may do so with a higher degree of consciousness and deliberate action, being very clear in the moment that you are absolutely free to see things the way that you want to see them.

This is simply remembering your power of decision, your power of choice. This is choosing to question and investigate things, investigating not only statements and beliefs but also questioning the logic of other questions, such as given in the example above.

The real power of this lies in self-investigation, looking at your own beliefs from a higher perspective, seeing what works to give you joy and what doesn't, and surrendering those ideas that do not excite you.

Asking Higher Questions, Part 1

Friends,

One may first wish to know what is meant in this teaching by the term, "higher question." Essentially, a higher question is any question that one asks oneself (the essential/core self) in an open and loving manner. It is far more practical than continually parroting unoriginal, clichéd questions such as, "Why would a loving God create a world that has suffering in it?"

A higher question is a much more honest question, one that actually gets to the point of existence, for most questions that people ask are not backed by an honest willingness to receive insight and peace from within. At the core of asking questions, you ask them simply because you believe there is an answer that would give you some clarity, direction and a sense of well-being. This is really why you would ask any question. You crave well-being.

Therefore, a higher question is one that your higher self inspires you to ask. Yes, sometimes your higher self does indeed give you an impulse to ask something like, "Why would a loving god...", because sometimes asking these type of questions truly help you discover a higher way of perceiving. However, your higher self doesn't encourage you to make a habit of contemplating such things while having a negative attitude, for this is not practical.

Consider this:

The real point of asking any question is to open oneself to a higher state of consciousness.

Remember, you really hope to gain clarity about something when you ask a question. . .and gaining clarity is really about expanding your consciousness.

In order to ask yourself a higher question you must be willing to let go of blame. Blaming God is pointless; it doesn't really make you feel better (not for long). Blaming others is pointless; it really doesn't make you feel better, certainly not for long. Blaming oneself is unproductive; it is not the same thing as an honest acknowledgment of self-responsibility.

All blame is in essence the same, no matter which direction it is pointed. You have to be willing to let this go, regret too, for regret is actually a form of blame. Spiritual self-inquiry requires you to let go of resistance. Higher questions (in the context of this teaching) are those that point you in the direction of the Holy Spirit, the Divine Light within, where all true clarity, peace, direction and answers are found.

Love is the answer your heart seeks, not a set of words. This teaching (any teaching), of itself, answers nothing.

The Great Answer you seek is found in the open space of your willingness to gently hand your grievances over to love, for the wisdom of love knows how to transform pain into joy.

Asking Higher Questions, Part 2

Friends,

Here are some examples of higher questions that you may ask yourself (keeping in mind that the real purpose of posing these questions is not to receive a set of words for an answer, but a feeling of well-being, a higher state of self-awareness):

1. "Who am I?"
2. "What am I?"
3. "What does my spiritual essence feel like?"
4. "What am I really here for?"
5. "What is happening right now within me?"
6. "What mood am I in?"
7. "How am I really feeling?"
8. "Am I, right now, enjoying myself?"

Now, again, these questions are not to be asked for simply receiving an intellectual answer, for that is not the true purpose of a higher question. It is recommended here that you offer the question as a gift, for a question is really an invitation, an offering, and a higher question is a type of sacred offering.

After presenting this sacred offering to your consciousness, allow your mind to be quiet as the movement, the momentum of the question, expands the space of your attention. In other words, asking a higher question is like ringing a bell, its energy reverberates and reaches new levels of consciousness, just as a sound that is made in your physical reality actually reaches other levels, other dimensions of sound and vibration beyond the reach of your physical hearing.

Asking a higher question is a gift to yourself, and it always returns to you in a higher form, much higher than a series of thoughts or a set of words in a book or upon a screen (such as this), but as a feeling of joy that is true clarity itself (but you must remain open and receptive in order to really feel this joy). If you want to be clear, then allow yourself to feel good.

The ego often begs for certain "answers" to be given to it in a certain way, according to preconceived bias, and it usually does this in subtle ways that you often do not take notice of, whereas the higher self encourages the mind to ease up on these specifications, to be more flexible and open to pleasant surprises.

The real power of a higher question is not the question itself but rather the pure intent of the one who poses it. If a clear, loving intent is not present, then the question is not really a high-level one.

Holographic Emotional Images

Friends,

A different mood reveals a different man/woman. The image you see reflected in a mirror, as well as how you perceive your personal reality, depends upon your emotional image of yourself, which is a holographic field that is produced by how you deeply feel about yourself.

If you wish to see the best in your world and in everyone around you, you must give yourself the equivalent mood. If you are open to feeling peaceful, in that very openness of feeling peace you are creating peace and perceiving peace in yourself and in your world. The world you experience is absolutely determined by how you inwardly feel about yourself.

If you want to transform suffering, then obviously whining and complaining about it will not change it for the better, it will not dissolve it, but deciding to make the best of your situation--deciding to feel better about yourself--will holographically transform your entire universe for the better, because you are literally projecting your experience, your universe, through your soul's perceiving mechanism.

Whether on a human level you are quite aware of your soul or not, you still possess free choice on a soul level, which operates through your soul's self-awareness and creative ability.

It may seem paradoxical, but as you discover the illusory nature of individual free will and become at peace with it, your power of free choice appears to be magnified on a human level, because you are aligning your vibration with the more expansive awareness and vision of your higher self.

A "To Hell With..." Attitude Keeps You "In Hell"

Friends,

Here is a very powerful revelation:

Having a "to hell with [such-and-such]" attitude is exactly that which keeps one "in hell."

This is super-obvious for those who genuinely accept self-responsibility for how they feel, and choose to make peace with their world instead of rallying against any part of it.

If you are one who continually lets yourself feel displeasure with things that you observe in your world, then it is not those things which you observe that are responsible for how you feel, it is your response to those things that determine your opinion of them.

When you push against the world, it pushes against you, simply because you and the world are connected, you are not separate from it, nor it from you. You are pushing against yourself. Conversely, easing up on your "issues" with certain things in your world is actually an easing up on denying yourself peace of mind.

On a human level, you are the personification of your opinion about "the world."

Here is a holy promise:

Choose to feel better about yourself in relationship with your world, and you shall gradually perceive a more united world.

Chronic complaining about socio-political issues, blaming "them" (whoever "they" may be) for your displeasure in regards to certain actions or behaviors, is not that which empowers you to act in alignment with your highest good in any given moment, but waking up and deciding to make it a positive habit of focusing more on what inspires you and empowers you to make positive changes is that which truly makes you a powerful force for good.

A "to Heaven with" attitude of allowing self-forgiveness and empathically offering forgiveness to others is that which transforms nightmares into dreams of beauty.

The Law of Observation

Friends,

The Law of Observation essentially states, "That which you observe, observes you." Even if you were to watch another person from across a room, and that person wasn't aware of you on a personal level, that person's energy field would indeed be aware of you.

You also create in alignment with that which you observe. Observing your own mind, your own attention, creates an interesting type of feedback loop where you observe the observer, and this actually magnifies your creative power, making you more magnetic.

At all times, the Universal Mind, of which everything is part of, is self-aware.
