Having an Open and Discerning Mind...

I have always believed in the presence of Angels for "special people or under special circumstances" but for the most part, I thought Angels existed primarily in biblical times. That is until I heard Sophie Burnham speak at a spiritual conference in Boston back in 1997. For about 15 minutes, she told the story of how Angels had come into her life, then more importantly she invited members of the audience to come up to the microphone and share their stories. About 15 people out of 300 lined up. As an RN, I was used to observing body language, paying attention to the emotion in the voice, the words that were used, etc. As each person told their Angel story, I was impressed with the sincerity and emotions in their voices and body language, and knew they spoke their truth. I started reading all of the Angel books that had been written at that time because I was curious if Angels played a large part in contemporary life. As my knowledge grew, I became more aware of the many ways Angels were supporting, comforting, and helping me to learn, heal and evolve. I realized they had always been present throughout my life, I just had not been aware they were there. That experience taught me the importance of having an open discerning mind and a loving heart. Truth does not change, it is my perception and awareness that changes as I realize more truth. Angels exist and are a big part of my life, for which I am grateful.
