Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

Because enlightenment is not the release/death of the ego - ego death is ego itself but many enlightened people tend not to understand that as they'd prefer to think of themselves as enlightened. If you really want to understand what enlightenment really means to people look to mentality not Spirituality.

What does enlightenment mean to you and what are the reasons you think you'll be better off if you were enlightened? When you answer those questions you'll understand all you need to know.

I once heard a teacher say:

'Close your eyes and pursue Nothing.

No further instructions are needed to become one with the universe

Since you are simply returning Home'
