Can several average Reiki healers combine their efforts for a miracle?
My question is: has anyone who practices Reiki ever combined their healing energy with other healers to multiply its effect? Is there such a thing as group Reiki healing? What is wrong with the idea of having 20 healers send remote Reiki energy all coordinated together? Would they be able to produce a miracle?

There is such a thing as group healing, I have taken part in Reiki sessions were up to 10 healers have been sending distance Reiki, and it is quite a usual thing. I have also taken part were as many as 4 reiki practitioners have been giving Reiki to one individual. And personally I believe it multiplies the effect of the Reiki, but I wouldn't go as far as saying it produces miracles.

I would say that it also has a lot to do with how much the client receiving reiki needs it. There is also the possibility that the person blocks the reiki. I would say group healing is most effective when sent to a disaster area or sent to the planet.

I learned that no matter what we do, there are a few obstacles for 'miracles' to happen.
1- how surrendered the practitioner(s) is/are
2- what is the life lesson the person is going through in which they still need the problem.
3- how surrendered the client is. how much are they willing to 'let go' and accept their current situation.
4- you can't change divine plan if it's not meant to be changed. it's best to just be grateful for the session because either way, it's nice for us spiritually.

This is a thread that's a bit old, and I don't know if Geomagman (the original poster) is still looking for an answer. I just wanted to say that, as a Reiki healer myself, there seem to be few Reiki-ists performing miracles - even when working in groups. Mostly, a Reiki-ist (even a so-called Reiki Master) can offer a relaxing session that is conducive to physical healing and that may boost the body's resources toward healing.
Typically, Reiki's strength is in the emotional & general-health areas. Reiki emotional healing may go quite deep.
There are a relative handful of healers on Earth working from the Divine level.
Have a look at this video, which shows how physical healing from this level turns out:

One explanation, from the healer's perspecive, is that karma is actually forgiven, so that the suffering individual doesn't have to live through the experience of having the affliction.

Could you elaborate on this a bit?

I agree. I too have often taken part in Reiki shares as you describel.. I know of an improvement reported by Miracles.. thats a bit unrealistic...
Reki is amazing.... but it is not a miracle cure...
