Sitting in A river, Snake
This morning i had a dream My husband and I were playing in the woods by a small river or creek which was next to a lake. My husband went and played by the edge of the lake. I went and played in the river. I sat down on the flat slate in the water and looked around and moved my hands in and out of the water. Some animals were around me. I then noticed the muzzle of what seemed to be a bear or Seal coming up from under the water next to my leg.
It slightly scarred be and i thought of a vicious sea lion. I could see the muzzle it was grey. Something changed and it was a very large python under the water. I grabbed it by its head and pulled it from the water and it was smaller than I anticipated and i felt disappointment. I held on to the Python by its neck and head so it couldn't bite me. It tried, and i saw its jaw move. I felt pain in my hand as if it had but it hadnt. I carried it to my husband. It was brown and black and harmless besides its bite. But very large.
I met with my husband and he too had found a snake. His was redish orange and brown. Goldenish... red... His snake was very small and he said "think it has a pointed head" which filled me with concern I looked and thought it might be a mockason, and so i thought to myself, It may be poisonus. But i didnt want to under estimate my husbands know how, so i didnt say anything i just admired his snake.
We woke up.

this seems a continuation of sorts from the fishermen by a lake dream.
it that one you'd been unable to haul in a big fish, here you were disappointed
with the size of the snake (having wanted it larger it seems).
unlike the fish, turtles, eels, and frogs there, this dream deals with snakes
(after at first appearing as bear-ish or seal-like). the "something changed"
bit could be significant... perhaps it was a reaction to your personal history.
i'm thinking that you'd altered the creature, subconsciously, into something
you're more accustomed to wrestling with. [hence it wasn't as big a challenge.]
you've traveled a bit upstream from that lake in this dream; moving towards
the source of the flow.

Water sometimes represents emotions. I feel this is relational symbolism. Your husband is or seems less in tune with the concerns that are surrounding you. You want to move into flow/motion, but you want also to find a stable relaxing resting place in that flow/motion. perhaps you are looking for stabilizing secure changes of positivity. I feel it has something to do with intimacy at various levels, and communication barriers that exist between you and your husband that block the flow. You need to get out the field guide and positively identify the snake, and realistically assess its venemousness/toxicity, and open up the lines of communication. you are also two separate people and may not be addressing or having the same concerns with the conflict, though it affects you both.

My husband and I actually had a sort of seance or moment by the fire where we tore down the walls between us just after this dream and we talked deeply about ourselves and each other and our emotions. He sort of dis connects from his emotional self because he wants silence, but he forgets that there is much to be heard, and I am constantly listening to my emotional self and forget that there is rest to be had...

the walls have been tore down; that was accomplished. i don't believe that
there is a will capable of interposing itself between you two, so those walls
cannot be rebuilt unless you form the intention of recreating them.
