Every series made by Attenborough leaves you thinking "It can't get better than this", then he just goes and does it ! Frozen Planet - it can't get better than this !

That's true. Even each episode. I thought they'd start with the best but the second episode was even better!

I agree with you both, it was great! I felt quite choked at some of the footage, especially of the albatrosses snuggling up together after a period of separation! Felt sorry for the penguins and the poor film crew stuggling against the snow storm - those men looked terrified inside their hut! Bless them for battling it out to get some unforgettable shots.

Last night episode was excellent if rather bloody. Look out for the killer whales hunting a lone minki whale

I didn't get to watch it last night. Hopefully tonight.
Those killer whales are a force to be reckoned with when they get together as a team, eh?

I'm a bit late in watching last weeks...but have just done so. I think I've been an emperor penguin in a past life. I recognise the waddle and belly flop.
And I'm a nosey parker....

Fans of Frozen Planet. Today's Daily Mirror [Sat Nov 26th] has a pull-out supplement of photos from the series. Rather fine !
Forgot to mention it at the time but this weeks episode showed a close-up battle between a lone wolf and a lone bison - obviously savage but also magnificent. I wont spoil it by saying who "won". Look for the "half-time" break when both are stood, exhausted, nose to nose.

Yes, this has to be the best natural history documentary ever made.
To those of you who live outside the UK, this is what it's all about

I'm told the best bits are also on YouTube.
