Purging after meeting twin flame, your experience?

Hi everyone,

Just new here on this forum, joined mostly because I want to learn more about twin flame connections. It seems I have met mine out of the blue, so I've been reading about it since then....it's a very very overwhelming experience so far, but I feel blessed to go through it nonetheless.

Yesterday I came across this idea of 'purging', which apparently usually happens relatively soon after meeting your twin flame. Purging of old fears, childhood trauma's, etc. I was wondering if any of you would like to share their experience with that....? I'm curious to know what others went through during that period. It was interesting to read that this period happens because the original meeting of twin flames triggers that much needed process. Needed, because (at least from what I read so far) those old unhealthy patterns and believes are not to be taken with you in this union with your twin flame.

So far, it is resonating with me a lot. It definitely feels like something beyond my control/power has started this whole thing wherein my very old childhood fears have come to the surface again. This time not as a way of (for the first time) seeing them or working on them/with them, but indeed, literally as a way of purging them, letting them all go for once and for all. Feels like I'm being show they don't serve me anymore, as if I'm being told that I don't need to work on them anymore in whatever way, kind of like....how to say..... as if my guides are saying 'you have done enough, it's finished now, all has been worked through, you are allowed to let go of them and start a fresh new chapter without them'.

Any of you recognize that....?
