Question about Accupunture

Yesterday was my second visit with the acupuncturist and she told me that she could tell where I have blockages because she could see my chi reacting to the spot at soon as she sticks the needles in- it turns white(blanches) and then red. I am just curious if this is normal belief or not...I couldn't find anything on the internet about it. Right before she told me that, I felt an energy surge in my nerves when she stuck the needle in, so there must have been quite a skin reaction too to prompt her to say that.

I reckon anything that survives for hundreds if not thousands of years (I.e. Divination, acupuncture, and astrology) has more than a grain of truth in it, if it didn't it would simply not survive.
I would trust in it, but only if I actually believed it myself. What do you think, did it feel real enough to believe???

I think we should believe in acupuncture treatment. Saying from my personal experience, it take time but is very effective.

Hi,

I am qualified acupuncturist - the redness caused around an acupuncture point when needled is 'Erythema', redness of the skin caused by increased blood flow in the superficial capillaries. It occurs with a skin injury which is essentially what the needle is causing as it punctures the skin. However, in traditional terms its interpreted as the Qi/Chi at that point starting to flow and move more easily.

Best wishes,

Gurm
