Can you be a Wiccan and believe in Source/God?

Hi, peace.

Around 11 years ago I met a person who was a full on Wiccan and had her book of shadows and the rest. Yet she said that she sometimes explores and believes in a One God and sometimes this and sometimes that.

I have read it somewhere a while ago that there are a lots of variation’s of a Wiccan.

Personally, I enjoy doing spells, making potions, using oils and etc, but I believe in the Source/God.

I am very much interested on your thoughts on the above.

Thanks

Hello

To put it simply, no. You can't only recognize a single deity in Wicca because you lose the polarity and unity of separate halves that is fundamental to Wicca. In Wicca, followers will recognize the existence of two deities - a god and a goddess. The god and goddess identity will vary depending on the tradition Wiccans follow.

I suppose not by strict traditional wicca, however, I believe that source is what God and Goddess comes from. No one can impose rules on your belief.

From my years of study in witchcraft. There is for the most part an even worship of a God and goddess. There are some exceptions.
