Here I am
Greetings all,
I am 36, male. Husband. Father.
I met my wife in high school when I was 16. She had a four month old daughter when I met her and becoming a father gave me serious qualms, but despite a bit of a rough start I was married at 20 with my first son not long after. We planned on having just one more but we ended up having twin boys....but we like them anyway ;)
Most of my earliest memories center around my parents' involvement with the Washington Psychic Institute, so you might say I've had mysticism on my mind literally since I can remember.
My parents split up and I ended up living in the Northwest with my father where he opened a healing arts center. He offered psychic readings and healings, rebirthing, a variety of classes including meditation and healing, and a store selling books and crystals and such. I watched him change a lot of lives over the years and that made a big impression on me. When I was in my teens I took an active interest and took some classes; meditation and healing, energy work. On Sundays I would watch the store for him to put a little money in my pocket but I also ended up reading a pretty good chunk of his inventory of new age books.
Despite growing up this way and my keen interest my own spiritual journey really didn't begin to get serious until I was about 30. Good news for me is that when it did I had a lot to fall back on. I went through a really dark time. My wife and I were at each others throats and I almost lost my family. At one point we just looked into each others eyes (sounds cheesy I know but that's really what happened) and made a decision in that moment that we were worth fighting for. So we did. And we won. We are a happy healthy family, for which I am thankful.
We invited Love into our lives and the floodgates opened, and I haven't looked back.
I came here looking for a serious dialogue. I am here to learn and absolutely here to teach. I am here to spread the Light. We are in very exciting times and I feel that I have to get involved. I was drawn to this sight just a couple of days ago I wanted to find a new forum I literally typed 'spiritual forum' into the search engine. I have posted a few comments here and there and the forum has already been a HUGE catalyst for me. I'm coming down off of a huge.....I don't even know what to call it yet....experience today. I'll write about that later, I still have a lot to process. I felt I needed to be grounded in the physical for a while so I hopped online to post this intro. Guess that's it in a nutshell.
With Love,
