OMG!!! OMG!!! I am crying...screaming!!! - What a stupid, amazing synchronicity..it's a 'Necro Sign'!!!!!
I'm in a pool of tears...
I was raised in Bali...spent most of my childhood there.
One weekend a month, we'd go to Java and go to Borobudur...I've been here at least a dozen times!!! Splendid!!!Magnificent!!! OMG!!!
I dropped psylocibin once on the summit, meditating under a stupa!
Raised my energies a few times here!
God, I need to go back to Indonesia again to heal all of this stuff inside me...

Also, the layout of the Borobudur Temple according to the sacred geometrical laws of the Tantric Agamas just puts me into waves of pure ecstatic rapture ...every...single...time.

Now you may all begin to understand Necro and her links to Buddhism.
Even though I eventually chose to be a Hindu because I met Shiva on the road instead of Buddha and I couldn't kill him...let's just say, I can put him in a coma sometimes...
Anyway, even though I chose to be a Hindu, Buddhism has always been an underlying theme in my life and why I haven't relegated myself back to the boring Hindu section yet. lol
Buddhist influences like Borobudur Temple, Journey To the West, Oshos Teachings and Zen, the Shinto stuff from Japan, trying to compare the Upanishads to the Tao The Ching..yeah, try that one...
Isa Upanishad vs Tao Te Ching...could almost transcribe it word for word. LOL
Then there's the whole Maha Kala thing and the Tibetan Buddhist stuff...
I don't know where I'm going with this. lol
Let's just say I needed this thread at the time I needed it.

Often, I find myself led back to the beautiful and grand Borobudur Temple.
The layout of the temple in Mandala fashion facilitated an awakening when I first visited it in 1980...and another awakening when this thread was originally posted...so why am I reviving it some 3+ years later?
I am listening to two beautiful Buddhist mantras right now and I have had them on "repeat" for the past 48 hours non stop.
Prajna Paramitha in traditional Javanese Kakawin language (which I know).

Also, the 11-faced Avilokiteshvara Mantra from the Dharani Heart Sutra...I found a really nice version of it with quotes from the Buddha:

They are very relaxing and healing. I usually listen to Hindu mantras like the Gayatri Mantra or Mahamrityunjaya Mantra, but I have also added in some Buddhist mantras to those I regularly listen to for a bit of variety.
